Overview
At AdAngel we run a subscription business. Our refund policy below sets out the statutory rights you have as a consumer, plus a courtesy refund window we offer to customers who are not protected by those statutory rights. By purchasing a subscription you acknowledge these terms.
1. EU/UK consumers — 14-day right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, EEA or United Kingdom, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal on your initial purchase under EU Directive 2011/83/EU on Consumer Rights (transposed in Romania by OUG 34/2014). You may cancel within 14 calendar days from the date of purchase, without giving any reason, and receive a full refund of the initial fee.
This right applies even if you have already used credits or generated content during the 14-day period. To exercise the right, email hello@adangel.app from your account email with the subject "Withdrawal — [Your Account Email]" before the 14 days expire.
We will process the refund to your original payment method within 14 days of receiving your notice. Your account will be downgraded to the Free plan.
2. All other customers — 7-day courtesy refund
Customers who are not EU/UK consumers (for example businesses, or consumers outside the EU/UK) may request a refund of an initial purchase within 7 calendar days, provided no credits have been used from the purchased plan. Requests outside these conditions are reviewed at our sole discretion.
3. Subscription renewals are non-refundable
Renewal charges and any subsequent billing cycle after the initial purchase are final and non-refundable. This includes automatic monthly or annual renewals and any upgrade/downgrade proration applied on renewal. Cancelling stops future charges but does not refund the current period.
4. What is explicitly not refundable
- Subscription renewals and subsequent billing cycles.
- Partially used subscription periods (outside the EU/UK 14-day right).
- Non-EU/UK initial purchases where any credits have been consumed.
- Refund requests outside the applicable 14-day or 7-day window.
- Bank or payment-processor fees.
5. Cancellation vs. refund
Cancelling is different from requesting a refund. You may cancel any time from the billing page or by emailing support. Cancellation stops future automatic charges but does not on its own trigger a refund of the current period.
6. How to request a refund

- Subject: "Refund Request — [Your Account Email]"
- Include: account email, purchase date, and (for EU/UK consumers) a statement that you wish to withdraw under Directive 2011/83/EU.
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method. Depending on your bank, funds may take 5–10 business days to appear.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Changes apply from the date posted; statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.
